The Carpentry Program is based in Booneville, KY at our Carpenters Village Campus.
Clients in the final phase of recovery within ARC’s four phase program have the chance to complete their treatment by interning at the Owsley County facility. A former bible camp, the center now provides treatment for over 40 men within the Addiction Recovery Care network.
With all the tools and equipment necessary, clients will be instructed by veterans of the carpentry industry. The training, lasting a little over five weeks, will also accumulate toward a 25 hour work-ready certificate presented by The Millard College based in Louisa, Kentucky.
“This gives an opportunity for the employers who are desperately looking for work to grab someone who has some experience. What these guys are going to learn here is going to give them enough experience where employers will want to hire and put them to work.”
