ARC Community Liaisons: A Month of Impact and Transformation

Over the past month, ARC Community Liaisons have been actively engaging with communities across Kentucky and Tennessee, spreading hope, sharing resources, and strengthening connections with organizations that make a difference. Their work has touched the lives of many, from individuals experiencing homelessness to those preparing to reenter society after incarceration.

Supporting the St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter Fundraiser ARC Community Liaisons Blaine Mathew and Timmy Hendricks attended the annual St. Benedict’s Homeless Shelter Tables of Hope Fundraiser in Owensboro, Kentucky. This event brought attention to the pressing issue of houselessness in the region. Blaine had the opportunity to share his personal journey of overcoming addiction and homelessness, emphasizing the pivotal role that St. Benedict’s played in his recovery. ARC is grateful for partnerships with organizations like St. Benedict’s, whose mission aligns with our commitment to hope and transformation.

Inspiring Hope at Warren County Regional Jail ARC Community Liaison Kelle Pruett took the opportunity to share her story of recovery with individuals in the Warren County Regional Jail pre-release class. This class helps prepare inmates within two months of their release to reintegrate into society successfully. Kelle’s personal testimony underscored the impact of treatment programs and the possibilities for change, offering encouragement and motivation to those nearing a new chapter in their lives. ARC values the chance to support individuals on their journey toward recovery and stability.

Strengthening Connections at Behavioral Health Networking Meetings Kelle Pruett also participated in a behavioral health networking meeting focused on Kentucky and Tennessee programs. These meetings serve as crucial platforms for sharing resources, building relationships, and expanding access to care. By collaborating with organizations, advocates, and experts, ARC is helping to strengthen support systems and improve recovery services, ultimately saving lives. These partnerships are essential in ensuring that more individuals find hope, healing, and a sustainable path forward.

Giving Back to the Community Timmy Hendricks contributed to the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile’s Trivia Night fundraiser by donating bags, brochures, bracelets, and other items for giveaways. The association has been assisting individuals and families for 50 years, and ARC is proud to support organizations that positively impact the community.

Drug Use Prevention Education with Trigg County Sheriff’s Office Timmy Hendricks was invited by the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office to speak with local youth about drug use prevention at The Way Christian Youth Center in Cadiz, Kentucky. Timmy shared his personal story of recovery and faith, connecting deeply with the young audience. Reflecting on his journey, he remarked, “How powerful is it that the very agency that arrested me 10 years ago, I am now partnering with to help bring healing to the community! Jesus does redeem all things!” His testimony was a moving reminder of the power of redemption and second chances.

Supporting Reentry at Casey County Detention Center Kelle Pruett, alongside other dedicated community resources, recently had the opportunity to speak at the Casey County Detention Center’s Pre-Release Class, offering hope and guidance to individuals preparing for reentry. Transitioning back into society can be overwhelming, but by providing access to recovery support, job training, and essential community resources before release, we help break the cycle of addiction and incarceration. These connections empower individuals to rebuild their lives, fostering a future of stability, purpose, and success.

This past month has been one of meaningful engagement and impactful outreach for ARC Community Liaisons. From advocacy to education and collaboration, they continue to be a force for positive change, working tirelessly to uplift individuals and communities. We are grateful for their dedication and look forward to witnessing even more lives transformed in the months ahead.
