Addiction Recovery Care (ARC) today announced that the President of its Enterprise Division, Geoff Marietta, will expand his role to also now serve as ARC’s Executive Vice President of Finance, taking the lead of the company’s finance team.
Marietta has an extensive background in entrepreneurship, education, and community development and has added immense value to the ARC organization through his expertise. In this new role, Marietta will work to coordinate the activities of ARC’s finance team to foster continuity and the highest possible level of patient care and stewardship.
“I’m grateful to Tim Robinson and the rest of the leadership team at Addiction Recovery Care for their continued faith in me,” said Marietta. “I look forward to enhancing our finance team to align with the innovative practices already embodied at ARC — while continuing to uphold the high standards we work to maintain in the enterprise division.”
“We extend our thanks to Geoff for his commitment to our community, to our mission, and to the wellbeing of our patients,” said Tim Robinson, founder and CEO of ARC. “Geoff embodies the best of ARC and has overseen swift and effective improvements within our organization. We appreciate his dedication and are eager to watch him thrive in this new role.”
“We are confident in Geoff’s background, education, and experience,” said Matt Brown, ARC Chief Administration Officer and President of ARC Healthcare. “Geoff will lead our finance team to help support the organization, as we continue to serve our patients and our co-workers. Geoff will also remain in his role as President of ARC Enterprises.”
Before joining ARC, Geoff served as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of the Cumberlands, pivotal in founding Invest 606 — Eastern Kentucky’s premier business accelerator and pitch contest. His commitment to the region’s economic development is also underscored by his numerous business ventures, including Trillium Ventures, which focuses on investing in and restoring historic Main Street buildings.
A native of Hibbing, Minnesota on the Mesabi Iron Range, Geoff pursued his education at the University of Montana, studying forestry and graduating summa cum laude. His dedication to education led him to Teach For America’s Charter Corps on the Navajo Nation, where he ascended in leadership roles from teacher and department head to assistant principal and district-level coordinator. Subsequently, Marietta earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a doctorate from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
An accomplished author, Marietta has written three books, with his latest work Rural Education in America published by Harvard Ed Press. Committed to community service, he currently serves as a board member of ONE Harlan County, the Kentucky Commission on Small Business Innovation and Advocacy, and the National Institute of Hometown Security. He has previously chaired the boards of the Harlan County Industrial Development Authority and Harlan County Chamber of Commerce.
Marietta lives in Harlan County, Kentucky with his wife Sky and their sons Harlan and Perry.
