One of Addiction Recovery Care’s (ARC) own is using his recovery to make a national impact!
Peer Support Services Manager Brandon Conlin has been selected as the Kentucky President for the National Peer Recovery Alliance (NPRA).
The organization acts as a program advocating for peer support specialists and developing the peer support specialist workforce to create careers for those looking to use their own recovery as a career to help others. The organization also works to connect with other organizations to collaborate on best practices and build sustainable models. Read more about their mission here.
Conlin, a Whitley County native, is the first Kentucky President to be named.
“The more I can learn, the better I can serve and help those struggling. My goal is to put myself in a position to help others and continuously offer better solutions for those on their recovery journey,” said Conlin. “I believe that this position will allow me to do just that.”
Conlin’s long term goals in the position to build a stronger platform for current peer support specialists. He says he hopes to show why being a peer support specialist is a career worth pursuing.
“Brandon is proving why the idea of going from crisis to career is obtainable for anyone,” said ARC’s Chief Administration Officer Matt Brown. “We are thrilled to cheer Brandon on in this exciting journey and know he will represent Addiction Recovery Care well.”
