As Addiction Recovery Care continues to grow across Kentucky, so does its executive leadership team. Recently, Kayla Parsons, ARC’s Senior Vice President of Business Administration received her SHRM-SCP certification.
The SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification is for individuals whose work includes duties such as developing HR policies or procedures, overseeing the execution of integrated HR operations, directing an entire HR enterprise, or leading the alignment of HR strategies to organizational goals.
“Throughout this process, I was able to learn more about human resources best practices,” said Parsons. “The knowledge I gained will help ARC better support its employees as it grows in Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia.”
As part of preparation for the four-hour exam, Parsons took a 12-week Virtual SHRM Certification Preparation Course, provided by the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. She credits the course for helping her to navigate the extensive material the certification covers, giving her the best chance for passing the exam on the first try.
