Addiction Recovery Care Clients and Staff Give Back to Eastern Kentucky Flood Victims

In the aftermath of the devastating floods that have impacted countless families in Eastern Kentucky and beyond, clients and staff at Addiction Recovery Care’s (ARC) White Oak Hill facility in Inez, KY, have come together to support their community in a time of need. They recently delivered much-needed donations to Inez Elementary School and volunteered at the Inez distribution center, offering support to those whose lives were uprooted by the floods.

“At Addiction Recovery Care, we believe that recovery is about more than just overcoming addiction—it’s about becoming the best version of yourself and serving others in meaningful ways,” said Vanessa Keeton, VP of Marketing at Addiction Recovery Care.

The heart of recovery is transformation—not just for the individual but for entire communities.

Clients at ARC are encouraged to not only heal from addiction but to rediscover their sense of purpose through service to others, emphasizing the importance of giving back as part of the recovery process.

“Our clients understand struggle firsthand, and now they have the chance to be a light for others in their darkest hours,” said Keeton. “For many of our clients, this was their first opportunity to give back in a way that can truly change lives. Watching them step up with such compassion and dedication has been incredibly inspiring.”

The donations collected and delivered to Inez Elementary School will go directly to families in need, while the volunteers’ tireless work at the distribution center will ensure that supplies reach those who need them the most. Their efforts have been critical in bringing relief to an area devastated by the floods.

While the destruction caused by these floods is devastating, hope is not lost. As Eastern Kentucky begins to rebuild, Addiction Recovery Care remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting its neighbors through both action and encouragement. The road to recovery—whether it’s overcoming addiction or rebuilding after a disaster—is one that no one has to walk alone. Together, the community rises, stronger than ever.
